Reading and writing go together.

Reading immersion is a vital part of the writing workshops. You will be asked to read 5 different books for each lesson. This will help you to see the Big Picture writing traits of ideas, organization and voice.

Where will I find books to read for the workshop?

You may read books of your own choosing: from the library, the bookstore or your own bookshelves at home. Use the Great Children's Books lists as a starting point.

What if I can't find enough books in English?

Reading books written in English is NOT required. Reading books is. I have had students from every continent except Antarctica. Many students read books in their own languages. As long as the homework is written in English, we're fine!
