(If you are sending in a chapter, send me a story ladder for this step.)

Step 3: Write a CIP.

Step 4: List five goals you have for this manuscript.

Step 5: Check out the competition.

Step 6 (Poetry Workshop Only): Scan your poetry so we can "see" the meter.

Step 7: Save these steps as a rich text file (rtf). This will allow you to copy and paste into email without losing any formatting. (No attachments.)

Step 8: Send me your work. I'll use the six traits of writing to critique it.
