Chapter books are the skinny books second and third graders read
before they move up to longer middle grade novels.

The Chapter Book Workshop is a 15 day email course. For each lesson you will be asked to read five chapter books (yes, even for the manuscript critiques!) By reading (and analyzing) 75 books you will see how a chapter book is designed and how one chapter leads to the next. Then you begin writing your chapter book! We will critique the chapters one by one. (You can add-on more critiques later if your book has more than 5 or 6 chapters or if you do a big revision and want guidance.)

You will read 75 chapter books
and send in five or six chapters from your chapter book manuscript
during this workshop.
