If you have a webcam, I can visit your classroom or library for a "virtual" author visit program.

How does it work?

Set up a date and time:

1. Email me to set up a 30 minute virtual visit time.
2. Send in the $50 program fee to book your time slot.
3. Decide which book the students will read for the visit.
   

Read and discuss:

1. Students read the book and think of questions they'd like to ask me.
2. Each student writes a question on a card.
3. Have a practice question and answer session to decide on the order of the questions.

The virtual visit takes place! On the day of the visit:

1. Set up the AV with a big screen so all of the students can see.
2. Connect via Skype or Wimba 5 minutes before the virtual visit time. (If you have Angel, Blackboard and Moodle, you may also have Wimba. Ask your IT department.)
3. We'll have 30 minutes of questions and answers via webcam.
