Learn how to apply the six traits of writing
from an author who uses them everyday.
No matter what kind of story you are writing - fiction or nonfiction - you begin with the first trait of writing: ideas.
As you think over your ideas, you need to know the 6 W's:
- Who?
- What?
- When?
- Where?
- Why?
- How? (The W is at the end!)
I use these 6 W's to guide me as I research my fiction and nonfiction books.
For the A Story/A Story program I show examples of my research for the Jake Maddox sports novel, Skate Park Challenge, and I read excerpts from my nonfiction book, The History of Football. The program ends with questions and answers.
I will sign books
during lunch and at the end of the day.
A Story-A Story is a 45 minute program.
