Moon Art Activity:
Materials:
white paper plates
crayons or markers
Eagle cut-outs - click here to copy for educational use
glue stick
Directions:
1) With crayon or marker, the children write their names on the top of the plate (the food side).
2) The children turn the plate over so that their names are hiding.
3) On the bottom of the plate, the children color craters and dust on the moon. The "craters" are circles and the "dust" covers the moon.
4) Some children like to color the Eagle. The real Eagle was silver on top and gold on the bottom.
5) Glue the back of the pre-cut Eagle and land the Eagle in the middle of the plate, on the equator where the real Eagle landed.
6) After the Eagle landed, the astronauts planted the flag. The children can draw a flag on the moon. They can also draw the astronauts or their footprints.
